The Trail House
The Trail House consists of the ‘Main House’ and the ‘Wee House’, these can be rented independently or together for larger groups. The main house has 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests in super king or twin beds. The Wee House sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms. Having managed Ski Chalets in the French Alps for 5 years we wanted to bring together the elements we think make a really good rental property. Comfy beds, large flexible and social living space, well equipped kitchen and a sports/activity related storage facility. The Trail House & Wee House share secure bike storage facilities and bike wash.
Included in all rentals:
Bed linen, hand & bath towels + bath mats, toilet rolls, hand soap, cleaning products, dishwasher and washing machine tablets.
Free Wifi & happy to welcome dogs*
(*Provided owners clean up any extra doggie mess e.g. hair & mud and don't let them on the soft furnishings.)
PLEASE NOTE:
The houses are in a quiet residential area, they are not suitable for those looking for a house to throw a party which includes late night noise.
Kitchen
The Trail House has a large fully equipped modern kitchen, recently renovated, with large American Fridge Freezer, Oven & Hob, microwave and dishwasher.
Living Space
We have a large open plan living and dining room, making this a very sociable space. There is a wood burning stove, smart TV, comfortable sofas and occasional chairs. (Please note, for environmental reasons, we only supply logs during winter months)
Dining Space
The Trail House has a large oak dining table which seats 10 comfortably and has space for an additional 2/4 when rented alongside the Wee Trail House.
Bedrooms
All 5 bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be set up as either super king or twin beds. Bedroom 2 also has an en-suite shower room and would be the ‘Master Bedroom’.
Bed linen & towels are provided.
Bathrooms
Family Bathroom with shower above bath (in photo). En-suite shower room with bedroom 2. Downstairs Shower room.
Bike/Equipment Storage
We have a secure garage with free standing bike stands.
Bike Wash: There is a hose at the front of the house. Glentress also have a power hose which you can use for a small fee.
Drying room: Next to the kitchen we have a storage & drying room. You’ll find shelves, hanging space and a dryer.

Garden
We have an enclosed ‘courtyard’ at the front of the house. During Spring, Summer and Autumn months there are picnic tables and a BBQ. Please note that this is a shared space between the Trail House & Wee House, each have their own patio and tables but it is a social space for both and you may be sharing it with the guests from the other house. If this doesn’t sound like something you’d be comfortable with it may not suit your group.
Parking
As you arrive at the house there is parking alongside the side of our building as well as a parking space in front of the gates which access the courtyard. There is space for up to 5/6 cars at the house (depending on size), if the Wee House is also booked then there would be spaces 3-4 available to the Trail House. We do our best to manage the spaces and allocate them between the two houses for each booking and can recommend additional parking options if required. See floor plans and parking map here.

Catering/Meal Deliveries
If you’d like to take the hassle out of arranging meals for your group Cooks & Co can provide meal deliveries to guests staying at the Trail House. Please enquire with us if this additional service is of interest to you.
Trail House Availability
Prices are based on a 3+ night stay. Special rates for 2 night stay and longer bookings available upon enquiry (4 night minimum stay across July/August).
